The University of Mississippi School of Nursing was founded in 1948, and thousands of its graduates have cared for the people of Mississippi in health care ever since. The SON develops nurse leaders through our innovative partnerships, unique community-based systems, evidence-based practice, and research, focused on excellence and life-long learning.
The school has established itself on the international stage as a Centre of Excellence through evidence-based practice with JBI, which led to an affiliation with the prestigious Cochrane US organization.
